The Greenfield  Public Recreation District voted on January 20th, 2025 to change the meeting location to 618 Apple Avenue. On February 17th, 2025 the board voted to change the meeting time to 6:30 PM. All regular board meetings take place on the 3rd Monday of the Month at this location. 

OCTOBER UPDATE

ADVENTURE ON ELM AVE

Thank You Note from Project Manager Janet Thorp: The board approved a Halloween Event took place on October 24th, 2025. We would like to thank the community for attending and making the first Adventure on Elm Avenue a big success. We would also like to thank the following in no particular order for making it possible: The Board of Trustees for the Greenfield Public Recreation District, Greenfield Recreation Department, Greenfield Police Department, Greenfield Fire Department, Benitez Security, The Fighting Bruins (Greenfield Cadet's), The City of Greenfield, Supervisor Chris Lopez,  JM Farming Company, A Tool Shed Equipment Rentals, Wow Smiles, The Greenfield Girl Scouts, Sincero Car Club, Holly Macronz, Pacheco Water Company, Taco's El Negro, Everyone that entered a Trunk,  and all the volunteers  and the Oak Park Staff (Anival Mireles and Daniel Diaz) that made it possible. I apologize if I forgot to thank someone, my gratitude is endless, but don't hesitate to reach out and I'll add you in! 

The Greenfield Public Recreation District meeting took place on October 20th, 2025 at the Greenfield Lions Hall.

• The board discussed tenative new hires. The discussion came to a vote and further discussion was tables for the possibility of later conversation. 
• Table renovations have continued around the park. You'll notice that some of the tables have been sanded down and are being primed and repainted!
• The board and the park manager discussed the water issue at the park. The water system is currently having issues and patience and understanding is appreciated at this time. Due to this a recent decision on water slide rentals being paused at this time. 
• The winter hours were established and are displayed on our home page, but you may locate them by clicking: here. They're also displayed on the carousal on the front page. 
• Our social media pages are up and you can find them located at the top right hand corner of our website. 

Currently, we are facing water issues at the Oak Park, but rest assured staff is working to move forward on fixing those issues. For any and all updates - please attend our meeting every third Monday of the month (unless otherwise posted). 

We want to thank everyone that made the Spring and Summer season such a success by visiting the Oak Park! We hope you continue to visit and enjoy up and coming projects. 

     Our next meeting is November 17th, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Greenfield Lions Hall. 

El Distrito de Recreación Pública de Greenfield votó el 20 de enero de 2025 para cambiar la ubicación de las reuniones a 618 Apple Avenue. El 17 de febrero de 2025, la junta votó para cambiar la hora de las reuniones a las 6:30 p. m. También queremos agradecer a las siguientes personas y organizaciones, sin ningún orden en particular, por haberlo hecho posible: la Junta Directiva del Distrito de Recreación Pública de Greenfield, el Departamento de Recreación de Greenfield, el Departamento de Policía de Greenfield, el Departamento de Bomberos de Greenfield, Benitez Security, los Fighting Bruins (Cadetes de Greenfield), la Ciudad de Greenfield, el Supervisor Chris Lopez, JM Farming Company, A Tool Shed Equipment Rentals, Wow Smiles, las Girl Scouts de Greenfield, el Club de Autos Sincero, Holly Macronz, Pacheco Water Company, Taco's El Negro, a todos los que participaron con un auto, y a todos los voluntarios y al personal de Oak Park (Anival Mireles y Daniel Diaz) que lo hicieron posible. La reunión del Distrito de Recreación Pública de Greenfield se llevó a cabo el 20 de octubre de 2025 en el Salón de los Leones de Greenfield.

• La junta discutió posibles nuevas contrataciones. La discusión se sometió a votación y se pospuso la reunión para una posible conversación posterior.
• Las renovaciones de las mesas continúan en todo el parque. ¡Notará que algunas mesas han sido lijadas y se están imprimando y pintando!
• La junta directiva y el gerente del parque discutieron el problema del agua. El sistema de agua está presentando fallas y agradecemos su paciencia y comprensión. Debido a esto, se decidió suspender temporalmente el alquiler de los toboganes acuáticos.
• El horario de invierno se estableció y se encuentra publicado en nuestra página de inicio, pero también puede consultarlo haciendo clic aquí. Además, se muestra en el carrusel de la página principal.
• Nuestras redes sociales ya están activas y puede encontrarlas en la esquina superior derecha de nuestro sitio web.

Actualmente, tenemos problemas con el agua en Oak Park, pero tenga la seguridad de que el personal está trabajando para solucionarlos. Para obtener información actualizada, asista a nuestra reunión que se realiza el tercer lunes de cada mes (a menos que se indique lo contrario).

Queremos agradecer a todos los que hicieron posible el éxito de la temporada de primavera y verano visitando Oak Park. Esperamos que sigan visitándonos y disfrutando de los próximos proyectos.
