The Greenfield Public Recreation  District usually meets every third Monday of the month, but are now once a month - all agenda's will be posted online and on site at the Greenfield Oak Park. 

JULY UPDATES

The Greenfield Public Recreation District meeting for July took place on July 20th the 618 Apple Avenue at 6:30 PM. 

• The board discussed the pool and got updates. The pool has been having issues with the pump, and the board/staff are working hard on being able to find the issue in order to move forward with a pool opening. 
• The board approved Janet Thorp and Anival Mireles taking a pool operators course to better understand the pool operation. 
• The board was updated on the progress of the credit card unit. 
• The board discussed the basketball project. The board was informed that the Oak Park Improvement Project reimbursement petition was accepted, and the District should see that money within 10 weeks which will be late August - early September. A grant the board has had since 2017.; which includes the basketball court and now pool.  
• The Board of Trustee's voted to continue to operate on their 2025-2026 budget until July when they could go over their budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. This has been e

El Distrito de Recreación Pública de Greenfield suele reunirse el tercer lunes de cada mes, aunque actualmente las reuniones se celebran una vez al mes; todas las agendas se publicarán en línea y en las instalaciones de Greenfield Oak Park.

ACTUALIZACIONES DE JULIO

La reunión de julio del Distrito de Recreación Pública de Greenfield se celebró el 20 de julio en el 618 de Apple Avenue, a las 6:30 p. m.

• La junta debatió sobre la piscina y recibió actualizaciones al respecto. La piscina ha presentado problemas con la bomba, y tanto la junta como el personal trabajan arduamente para identificar la avería y así poder proceder con la apertura de la piscina.
• La junta aprobó que Janet Thorp y Anival Mireles realicen un curso para operadores de piscinas con el fin de comprender mejor su funcionamiento.
• Se informó a la junta sobre los avances relacionados con el sistema de pago con tarjeta de crédito.
• La junta trató el proyecto de baloncesto. Se comunicó que se aceptó la solicitud de reembolso para el Proyecto de Mejora de Oak Park; el Distrito debería recibir los fondos en un plazo de 10 semanas (entre finales de agosto y principios de septiembre). Se trata de una subvención que la junta mantiene desde 2017 y que abarca tanto la cancha de baloncesto como, ahora, la piscina.
• La Junta Directiva votó a favor de seguir operando con el presupuesto de 2025-2026 hasta el mes de julio, momento en el que podrán revisar el presupuesto para el año fiscal 2026-2027. Este plazo se ha ampliado para incluir una reunión de proyección y planificación.
• El personal de Oak Park y la junta se preparan para cerrar el verano de la mejor manera. El próximo evento será el 23 de agosto y contará con una competición de barbacoa de costillas. ¡Inscríbase hoy mismo con Anival Mireles o Janet Thorp!
• La junta aprobó la celebración del Segundo Evento Anual de Halloween, programado para el 23 de octubre de 2026. ¡Pronto habrá más información!
• ¡El Distrito participará en el evento "National Night Out" el 4 de agosto! ¡Esperamos verles en el quiosco del parque (gazebo) de la localidad!
